The Wellington representative Rugby team to play the Southland touring team nt Athletic Park to-morrow has been selected by Mr. J. N. Millard as follows: — Full-back: Pollock (Petone). Three-quarters: Fuller (Eastbourne), Killeen (Hutt), Robins (Marist). Five-eighths: Lilburne (Hutt), Page (Wellington). Half-back: Kilby (Wellington). Forwards: Lamason (College Ohl Boys)), McLean (Wellington), Reid (Petone), Barry (Hutt), Peck (Hutt), Bydder (College Old Boys), Lam-bourn (Petone), Dellabarca (Eastbourne). Reserves. —Backs: Griffiths (Poneke), Macdonald (Marist). Forwards: Butler (Marist), Wilson (Hutt), Quaid (Poneke).

[The. only alteration in the team from that which'defeated Canterbury is Lilburne’s inclusion in the five-eighths line in place of Griffiths. Lilburne has been playing football equalling his best form in recent club matches, and his selection appears thoroughly justified. Macdonald’s injured leg is recovering, and he has been given permission to play again, but he considers it wiser to rest the limb as much as possible, and for that reason was not included in the team. McLean was injured in a club game last Saturday, and has yet to be passed by the doctor as fit for play.' If he has to stand down Butler will go into the scrum as a lock, and Barry will play on the side—“Poster.”]

Forwards: Carr (Petone), McNeue (College Old Boys), Jolly (Athletic), Howatson (Wellington), Ward (Poneke), Grenfell (College Old Boys),. Clayton (Eastbourne). Watson (Athletic). Reserves. —Back: Chesterman (Poneke). Forwards: Wright (College Od Boys), Whittington (Petone). As this' is regarded as a trial match from which the colts’ team to tour the East Coast: districts will be selected, the reserves will be given n game in -the second spell. OTAGO WINS Southern School Tourney By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, August 22. In the final of the South Island High Schools’ Rugby tournament Otago beat Timaru by 6 points (two tries) to 3 (a try). The game was a splendid exhibition of fast, open play. . In the match between the losing tennis of the first round, Christchurch beat Southland by 6 points to 5. MULLAN INJURED Canterbury Half Hurt By Telegraph.—Press Association. ClirLstchurcli, August 21. ' It is doubtful whether T. Mullan, the Canterbury half, who played a siplendid game on Saturday, will be available next Saturday for the match against Otago. Toward the end of the game he received concussion, and he spent the week-end in hospital. J. H. Geddes and G. Porter, Southlanders, who were Injured on Saturday, may not be a'ble to continue the northern tour. Saturday’s gate was £l5lO, a record for a provincial game.
