EFFICIENT CITIZENSHIP
In his annual report, • Dr. W. M. Lloyd, acting chief school medical officer for Carmarthenshire, states that there is ample evidence to show that education is judged too much from narrow, material Issues and not as an approach to efficient citizenship in its broadest sense. One of the inevitable results Is that the average child leaves school knowing more about vulgar fractions and the Battle of Hastings than it does about the care and culture of its own body.
