SYDNEY MILK BOARD

Inquiry by Commissioner NO IMPROPER PRACTICES (Received June 12, 11.10 p.m.) Sydney, June 12. The Royal Commissioner, Mr. A. B. Shand, K.C., whose inquiry into the operations of the Milk Board has occu pied several months, has presented pis report. Mr. Shand finds no evidence substantiating any improper or corrupt practices. There is no evidence of any undue influence having been used to have certain appointments made to the board; on the contrary, he states, having regard to the great difficulties of controlling the milk supply of a great city, he is satisfied that every member of the board endeavoured honestly and successfully to perform the duties Imposed by the Milk Act.
