Kelburn Bowling Club
The twenty-ninth annual report of the Kelburn Bowling Club records a roll of 102 playing members and ton honorary members, 14 new members having been enrolled during the year, and 12 playing members having been lost by resignation or removal from Wellington. The accommodation and facilities of the club would provide for another 20.
The income for the year was £534. and the expenditure £462. The revenue from social evenings enabled improvements to be made which could not have been provided out of ordinary income. A programme ot' social events has been arranged for the winter months to raise funds for further equipment The greens are stated to have shown improved playing surfaces, aud as a result of further attention it is hoped they will be better still next season. Thanks are expressed to the green superintendent, Mr. M. Routley. and the greenkeepcr, Mr. W. Bell. Eight rinks were entered for the senior pennant. th<4 club’s percentage of wins being 52.67. The results of the numerous ' competitions are recorded, and also of exchanges of visits with other clul|s. The report bears the signature of the lute Mr, F. Meadowcroft as president, his death having taken place since the report was drafted.
