ILLEGAL BAIT USED
Trout Caught in Stream Dominion Special Service. Auckland, June 10. A plea of guilty was entered by Leonard Crawford, a relief worker, who appeared iu the. Hamilton Court yesterday, to a charge of using inanga as bait in an artificial tiy stream. Mr. J. Dobson, chief ranger for the Auckland Acclimatisation Society, said defendant was found on April 16 fishing in the Little IVaipa River wth inanga. He had caught a trout with this bait. Defendant said in explanation that during the previous season it was legal to use inanga as bait in the Little IVaipa. A fine of £3 was imposed.
