St. Laurence’s Church. Aramoho. Wanganui, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Wednesday, when Florence Margaret, second daughter of Jlr. and Mrs. W. Gilroy, Wanganui, was married to Louis A. W. Irving, eldest son of the late Jlajor Irving, and Mrs. Keay, Little Hampton. Sussex. England.

The bride was gowned in white satin beaute, and her silk tu’.le veil was held with orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of carnations, roses and freesias.

Miss Doris Raven, New Plymouth, cousin of the bride, wore pink floral silk georgette with fur trimmings, and

turban and eye veil, her bouquet was also composed of freesias and roses. The Rev. Canon Williams performed the ceremony, and Mr. S. Penn acted as best man. A reception was held after the ceremony in St. Laurence's Hall, where Mrs. Gilroy received her guests wearing violet panne velvet and hat and shoes to tone. When Mr. and Mrs. Irving left, the latter wore grey diagonal worsted ensemble, trimmed with grey fur, and hat and shoes to match. The contracting parties were Laura, second daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Backhouse, of Wellington, and Charles, second son of Mrs. and the late Mr. G. Swinn, of Parkvale. She wore piuk satin with hat and shoes to tone. Mr. Percy Swinn attended his brother as best man. Upon leaving the church the bride was presented with a satin horseshoe by little Betty Larsen, niece of the bridegroom. The reception was held at the home of the bridegroom's mother.
