A case of interest to friendly sociery doctors and chemists was heard to-day when tiie manager of tiie Ashburton United Friendly Societies’ Dispensary was lined £2 for failing to enter in his register dangerous drugs sold, dispensed, or distributed by him. Defending counsel said that in the majority of cases tiie details were entered properly, but as the prescription books issued by lodges were the members’ own property tbe original prescription could not be kept for it year as required by the Act. Doctors wouid have to supply tbe prescriptions on separate forms.
