Clout—Redding A pretty wedding was solemnised by the Rev. J. Lopdell at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, Lower Hutt, yesterday, when Phamie Johanna, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Redding, of Midhirst, Taranaki, was married to Clifford John, son of Mr. and Mrs. 11. Clout, of Lower Hutt. Tlie bride, who was escorted by Mr. H. Clout, wore a gown of ivory satin, finished back and front with a V-shap-ed lace yoke, and long puffed sleeves of satin and lace trimmed with diamante. The ankle-length skirt was flared from the knees. Her embroidered tulle veil was arranged coronet fashion, and finished with diamante and clusters of orange-blossom over the ears. She also wore ivory satin shoes, and carried a bouquet of choice white flowers and maiden-hair fern. A reception was afterwards held nt the home of the bridegroom’s parents. The guests were received by the bridegroom’s sister, Mrs. D. S. Peck, who wore a fawn tailored suit relieved with lemon, and small nigger-brown felt hat. The bride travelled in a navy blue ensemble trimmed with fur, and small felt hat to tone.

At St. Paul’s Church. Feilding, on March 30, the wedding took place of Catherine Frances, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald McLean, "Gleniffer,” Cunninghams, Feilding, and Raymond William, (youngest son of Mr. C. A. Leicester, Rongotea. The bride and groom are members of two old and highly-esteemed families that for many years lived within a. few miles of each other in the Waituna district, and the wedding aroused a great deal of interest. The Rev. Raeburn McDonald performed the ceremony.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a robe of ivory satin and lace.

Miss Marian McLean attended her sister as bridesmaid, and wore ajcharmihg pale blue frock of organdie embroidered in pink over satin. 3

"Invermailie,” Turakina, the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Glasgow, was the scene of a pretty wedding last Tuesday, when their only child, Wilhelmina Ivy (Ena) was married to Bruce Wellwood, eldest son of Mr. W. Johnston, of Te Kuiti. The Rev. H. Watt, M.A., was the officiating clergyman, and Mrs. Stuart Cunningham, of Wanganui, played the wedding music. The ceremony was performed on the wide veranda, which was screened with autumn shrubs and gay chrysanthemums, and the bride was escorted by her father to the skirl of bagpipes, played by Mr. lan Cameron, of Masterton. Her frock was of ivory crinkly crepe close-fitting to the knees, and flared, and her beautiful veil was caught with orange blossom and white heather.' She carried a sheaf of autumn leaves and ivory chrysanthemums. Miss Greta Adams, of Wanganui, was bridesmaid, wearing parchment satin, and carrying a posy of autumn flowers. Mr. Stuart Paterson was best man. When Mr. and Mrs. Johnston left by car the latter wore nigger brown and lemon ensemble, with tailored coat and hat of brown. Their future home will be in Te Kuiti.
