BURGLARY ATTEMPTED
Strongroom Door Resists Charge of Explosives feilding drapery shop Dominion Special Service. Feilding, Alay 3. Burglars entered John Cobbe and Co.’s drapery premises at Feilding last night, aud endeavoured to open a .strongroom door with explosives. Entry was gained to the premises by means of a window. A charge of explosives was set off in the lock of the strongroom door. Tiie lock was damaged, but the mechanism defied the etforts of the intruders to open tiie door. The services of an expert had to be summoned this morning before it could be opened. It was stated to-day that as far as could be ascertained no stock had been removed.
