To-morrow night, at the Town Hall, music-lovers of Wellington will ejPe 1 ' 1 - ence one of the greatest musical feasts that this city has had for a long time. fo the world-famous baritone, Mr. John Brownlee, will be heard nr a special operatic programme with tb« c '‘-Pf 10 }? phony Orchestra. This will be Mr. Brownlee’s last appearance in Welhn„ton. Mr. Brownlee has come across from the South Island for this orchestral concert, and will return there at its conclusion to complete his greailv’-extended tour The operatic arias m which the baritone will be heard to-morrow night are U Star of Eve.” “So, Sir Page.” and the prologue from “I Pagliacci.” In addUion to Mr. Brownlee’s numbers with the orclicotra. there will also be the Grieg Concerto, with Mr. Raymond Lambert (Mr. Ice’s brilliant pianist) as the soloist. Ine Wellington Symphony Orchestra, under the conductorship of Mr. Leon de blauni. will play the “Rienzi” Overture, the “Jupiter” Symphony (Mozart). Coronation March” (from “Le Prophete ), and “A Shropshire Lad.”
