STORY DENIED
British Treaty With Persia Official Wireless. Rugby. May 1. The story published by tlie "Daily Herald” to-day alleging the impending conclusion of an Anglo-Persian Treaty for tlie purpose of making British influence dominant in Persia is described officially as wholly without foundation. A general treaty with Persia has been under negotiation since 1928. but there is no question of such treaty securing any exclusive privilege for Great Britain or being in any way directed against any other country.
