PARENTS’ MEETING
Queen Margaret College A large gathering of parents was present nt the annual meeting of the Queen Margaret College Parents’ Association, held recently at the college. The president, Mr. AV. M. Page, in presenting a report of the year’s work, made special mention of the death of the late Sir. C. E. AVebb, registrar of the college, who had played a large part in the formation of the association. The appreciation of the parents was expressed to the principal, Miss Wilson, for her able and wise control of the college. Thanks were extended to the principal, Miss Smith, Mr. Ffitch, and Mr. J. T. Martin for valuable assistance to the association. Extension of the tennis courts was authorised. Votes of thanks were passed to the retiring committee, to Mr. Page, president for tlie past three years, and to Mr. Iloby, who had carried out the duties of secretary and treasurer of the association since its formation. Messrs. McLay and J. T. Martin, members of the board of governors, addressed the meeting. The principal referred to the work of the college and expressed the appreciation of the staff at the support given to the school by the association. At the conclusion of the business there was an excellent musical programme, in which items were given by Miss C. Moncrieff, Mr. and Airs. E. Meier, and Miss AValters. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. O. C. Mazengarb; vice-president, Airs. Widdop; lion. secretary and treasurer, Air. J. K. Edie; committee, Alesdames L. Blundell, Clnbburn, T. J. Corkill, Dullard,' Eastwood, Eichelbaum, Dinnie, Johns, Mac Lean, Martin, Mazengarb, Aie?~tyre, Norman, Paulin, Rawson, Messrs. Ferguson, Ffitch, Iloby, AlcKellar, Afiller, Page, Picot, Richmond.
