City Sanitation Loan
‘The Mayor, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, announced at yesterday’s special meeting of the City Council that a southern firm had taken up £10,009 of the Wellington City sanitation loan. 1907. repayment loan, 1932, of £33,000. This firm wished to take ten £lOOO debentures. To this the council agreed. In reply to an inquiry, the Mayor said that the whole of the loan had now been fully subscribed. The loan bears interest at the rate of 4} per cent, per annum.
