British Columbia Scare M.P.’S CHARGES REFUTED (Received April 29, 6.35 p.m.) Ottawa, April 29. Charges by Mr. Tom Reid, of New Westminster, in the House of Commons. that Japanese naval officers, under the guise of fishermen, were spying out British Columbia are discounted by marine workers. There are hundreds of Japanese fishermen here who know every bay of the coast. Flatly denying the charges made by Mr. Reid, the Japanese Legation announces that his statements are being forwarded to Tokio.
