MAUNGANUI IN PORT
Small Passenger List
The Union Company’s K.M.S. Maunganui, which arrived at Wellington early yesterday morning from San Francisco, via Papeete and Rarotonga, had a very small passenger ‘list, which included only one saloon through passenger to Sydney. This is probably a record, though not an enviable one. Inward passenger-lists from England and America at this time of the year are usually very small, while the depression and in.the case of the San Francisco mail steamers, the Mateon competition, have caused the number travelling by Union liuers to dwindle even more.
