Seas rough about Cook Strait; elsewhere moderate in New Zealand waters, oil later rising on the west coast. Freshening north winds with moderate but. rising seas in the eastern lasman . a. Weather mainly fair to fine in eastern districts; elsewhere cloudy to overcast with rain at times and later some heavy falls on the west, coast of the South island. Temperatures mild.
