Irish Ewe’s Record

Sir,—A copy of the Belfast “Northern Whig” to hand contains two paragraphs, one of a two-year-old Suffolk ewe with her five normal-sized and healthy lambs to which she gave birth on Monday, February 20, at Aghagallon, Lurgan. The other is a picture of a young son of the owner feeding three of the lambs with bottles of milk. I consulted a South Featherston gentleman, who told me one of his ewes had had as many as four lambs on one occasion. Perhaps some of your readers may lie able to improve on this.—l am. etc., GT W. BLAIR. Featherston, April 29.
