A verdict of suicide whilst of unsound mind was returned at the inquest concerning the death of Mr. Justice McCardie, the famous "bachelor Judge,” who was found shot in his flat. His personal clerk gave evidence that Mr. Justice McCardie had suffered from three attacks of influenza since January 12. He disregarded entreaties to rest, but recently stayed indoors to recuperate.
