WRECK OF AKRON
Structural Weakness Known New York, April 12. At Lakehurst, New Jersey, Lieuten-ant-Commander Edwin Cochrane, assembly and repair officer at the United States Naval Air Station, on Wednesday testified at the naval hearing that it had been planned to strengthen, on the Akron’s return from her last flight, the airship's structure in the area in which two survivors said they saw two long longitudinal girders break.
