MYSTERIOUS WOMAN SPY.
Elaborate plans for revolution and a widespread Bolshevist plot are-said to have fallen into the hands, of the Rumanian secret police .as a result of . the arrest of a mysterious woman..said to be a Communist spy. Plans eon-, nected with the recent Rumanian railway strikes-nre also .said to have been in the woman’s possession. she is, described as having; acted as. ;a. ‘spy liaison” between Berlin and Bucharest, and to have travelled on the, railways under the protection of -persons in high places.”.. Light has also been thrown .on the ■ activities of Hie agitators by'a police statement that a man arrested on the charge of being a spy had been sending messages to Russia by,carrier pigeons. The messages, it is stated, were concealed in aluminium tubes attached to the birds’ legs.
