SOCIAL AND DANCE
N.Z. Pharmaceutical Society As a fitting conclusion to the thirteenth annual conference of the New Zealand Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand, held at Wellington, in conjunction with the Chemists’ Service Guild of New Zealand, a soeiar and dance was given last evening by the Wellington Division at the Pharmacy Hall, Cambridge Terrace. Some five hundred delegates from all parts of New Zealand were present, and a delightful evening was spent. Songs were given by Mrs.' King, Auckland; Mrs. F. Illsted, Miss Jeanette Briggs, Mr. D. Stark, Wellington. Miss jMavis Pearce and Mr. Lloyd Arthur gave an exhibition of ballroom dancing. The hard-working committee responsible for entertainments held throughout the conference were as follow: — Ladies.—Mesdames Castle, Rickard, Histed, Farquharson, Misses Sanderlant, Ramsay, Hutchens, Lucena, Wilton. Men.—F. King, W. Harman, C. T. Arthur, AV. McMillien, A. Aldersley, H. J. S. Rickard, R. Johnston, R. Roberts. Among those present at the dance were:—Mr. Edward Smith and Mrs. Smith (Auckland), E. C. Cachemaille, Mr. and Mrs. H. Trevalyn King (Auckland), Mr. and Mrs. Wilkinson (Dunedin), Mr. and Mrs. Waters (Dunedin). Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Barbery (Wellington), Mr. and Mrs. S. Rickard, Mr. and Mrs. F. Hested.
