TRIAL CONCESSION
New Tramway Section
A trial is to be given for six months to the issue of a 1/6 twelve-ride tramway concession ticket available between Thorndon Station-Johnston Street and Thorndon Statlon-G.P.O. ' This proposal was made by the tramways committee to the City Council.last evening. The Mayor, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, said that since the committee had met the Railway Department had suggested they should sell the tickets at the station. For that reason he proposed that the price be reduced from 1/9 to 1/6, hence the alteration in the com- } mittee’s proposal.
