BRITISH SAILORS’ SOCIETY
An entertaining evening was spent at the rooms of the British Sailors’ Society on Thursday when a concert, arranged by Mrs. J. Potts, assisted by pupils of Mr. Claude Sander nnd Miss Dorothy Seymour. was held for the entertainment of men from ships in port. There was a full house, and the excellent items presented were much appreciated. One number which was specially outstanding was the character sketch by Miss Dorothy Seymour, who was recalled again and again. Other performers were Misses Grade McKay, Janette Briggs, R. Smither, Susie Bremner, Jean O’Connor. Jean Prangley. Jean Kirker, Mesdames J. Potts. Irene Miller, nnd McMillan, Messrs. D. Hogg, Cathcart. D. Stevens. A. Graham, and C. Sander, the accompanistes being Mesdames Webb nnd McMillan. At. the conclusion of the programme supper was served by the young ladies of the society, the evening drawing to a dose with the singing of “God Save the King.” '
