WILLIAMSON REVUE
“Pleasure Bound” To-morrow To-morrow afternoon at the Grand Opera House, J. C. Williamson, Ltd., will present Frank Neil’s brilliant vaudeville revue company, numbering over 40 artists, headed by Miss Elia Shields and George Wallace, in the humorous and spectacular revue, “Pleasure Bound,” which attracted large audiences for three months in Sydney, and which broke all known records, during its twelve nights season at His Majesty’s Theatre, Auckland. Artistic stuge settings, featuring a bevy of beautiful girls and charming ballet numbers, clever dancers, sparkling songs, and an abundance of comedy skits and scenes, are some of the features. Great interest has been invested in the reappearance here of Miss Ella Shields, who proved in Auckland that she is quite as good an artist to-day as she was when she delighted playgoers of New Zealand ten years ago. Mr. George Wal- . lace is really a whole entertainment in himself, and is seen as a highly argumentative interloper, a most comically confidential “dame,” an advertising announcer, a despotic controller of theatre property, and an experimenter with flowers possessing magical powers. The four daring Diabolos is said to be the most exciting acrobatic act ever seen in New Zealand, and Murray and Walton are remarkably fine eccentric tap dancers. A full revue orchestra is under the direction of Wally Reynolds.
