MEN SENT TO GAOL
Found Unlawfully in Yard POLICE COURT YESTERDAY •Found unlawfully in an enclosed, yard in Taranaki Street, George Leckie, aged 48, John Joseph Buckley, aged 52, and William Patrick Lloyd, aged 47, appeared before Mr. E. Page, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday, and each was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. Sub-Inspector Martin-said that all three had a list of previous convictions. Thomas Crossley, labourer, aged 59, and Dennis Henry Yore, aged 56, were each fined £l, in’ default seven days’ imprisonment for their third offence of drunkenness. On the application of Sub-Inspector Martin, a remand until Tuesday next was granted to Laurence Petersen, aged 28, ad Frederick Petersen, aged 29, who were charged with stealing a flask, valued at 10/-. and a toilet case, valued at £l/5/-.
