Meteor ologcal Office, Wellington, Thursday, January 26, 1933, at 4 p.ra. An anti-cyclone still covers the eastern Tasman Sea and New Zealand, although it has lost intensity; the depression over south-eastern Australia has developed and Is moving slowly eastward. Winds mainly light to moderate and variable, but northerlies gradually predominating and freshening. Seas smooth to moderate in New Zealand waters. Winds tending northerly and freshening gradually in the eastern Tasman Sea; seas smooth to moderate. Weather fair to fine and warmer; but. cloud increasing gradually in western districts.
