On Franz Josef Glacier CROSSING A CREVASSE By Telegraph—Press Association. Hokitika, Jan. 26. Near the Main Divide at the head of the Franz Josef Glacier on Tuesday, Mark Lysons, an experienced guide, fell while crossing a crevasse and broke one of his legs. Miss Ida Corry, a noted member of the English Alpine Club, who had accompanied the guide, assisted him for several miles. Guide Fluety, who had .come up to the Aylmer Hut to relieve Guide hysons, not finding the party at the hut. went in search, and met Miss Corry on the way for assistance. The two went back and conveyed the_ injured man to the Aylmer’ Hut, several miles up the glacier. Guide Fluety went to Waiho ,oi medical assistance, a visiting doctor being available.
