He Was taken to Wellington Hospital, and died a fortnight later without recovering consciousness. The coroner, Mr. H. A. Gilbertson, inquiring yesterday into the accident, wafe faced with a conflict of evidence as to which of the vehicles had first struck Mr. Ibbotson. He returned a finding that death had resulted from Injuries received in an accident which had occurred through no fault of Mr. Ibbotson. The evidence was exceedingly conflicting. the coroner said, and he was not prepared to differentiate between the parties as to whose negligence had been responsible for the injuries and death. Even the versions given by two eye-witnesses were at variance, and there was no positive evidence that either of the drivers had been negligent. - !
