It urges the Press and public to stress the fact that the league is no impersonal body, but the representatives of the leading nations acting together so far as common public opinion will permit or insist that they do, and to point out that any failure of the League would be at best a postponement of problems that clamour for immediate settlement, and at worst the precipitation of the world into a further universal catastrophe. The Rev. Dr. Gibb reported to the meeting upon his South Island tour, which he said had been very successful.
