MAROONED IN ALPS?
Still Hope for Hinkler Fremantle, Jan. 25. A visiting Swiss journalist says that there is still hope that SquadronLeader Hinkler may be marooned in an Alpine hut from which he will be unable to communicate with the outside world till winter passes. HOPE’S GALLANT EFFORT London, Jan. 24. The Hinkler Search Committee has publicly thanked Captain L. Hope for his gallant, unSelflsh effort, evidencing a British officer’s loyalty to duty even at the risk of sacrificing his own life.
