LORD CHESTERFIELD
Death Announced London, Jan. 24. The death is announced of the Earl of Chesterfield. His mansion, Holm Lacy, was sold to Sir Lucas Tooth, formerly of Sydney. The tenth Earl of Chesterfield, Edwyn Francis Scudamore-Stanhope, was born in 1854, was educated at Eton and Oxford, and held several Court appointments, including Lord Steward of His Majesty’s Household, 1910-15, and Master of the Horse, 1915-22. The -heir is Captain Henry A. Scudamore-Stan-hope, a brother, born in 1855.
