Meteorological Office, Wellington, Wednesday, January 25, 1933, 4 p.m. The depression in south-eastern Australia has deepened and moved southward somewhat, but a moderate anti-cyclone shill covers the Tasman Sea and New Zealand. Variable and mainly light to moderate winds; south-easterlies prevailing north of Kawhia and Napier, and elsewhere southerlies. Seas smooth to moderate generally in New Zealand wabers, with a southerly swell on the East Coast. Light to moderate south 1 to east winds in the eastern Tasman Sea, and smooth to moderate seas. Weather fine almost generally, with warm day but moderate night temperatures. Some scattered showers likely in the far north and northeast.
