Miss Reid, Newman Terrace, is staying in Auckland.

Mr. Justice Mae Cormack and. Mrs. Mac Cormack, Auckland, are staying at the Royal Oak.

Miss Betty Kiver, Christchurch, has returned home after visiting Wellington.

Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Beasley, Sydney, who have been travelling in the South Island, have arrived in Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Desmond Todd and family, of Christchurch, are visiting Wellington.

Miss Janet Storry, Christchurch, has returned home after a short visit to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Grigg, Longbeach, returned south on Sunday after a short visit t > Wellington.

Miss Bene Hirst, Wellington, is paying a short visit to Dunedin, and is staying with Mrs. Allan Fisher. Dr. Peter Moir and Mrs. Moir have returned to Auckland from a motor tour of Wellington and Taranaki. Mrs. Algar Willimas has returned to Featherston after a short visit to Wellington.

Mrs. R. Birch, who is with Mrs. P. de xt. Brandon, Hobson Street, will return to Masterton to-morrow. Mrs. Boon and Miss Edna Boon, of Palmerston North, are visitors to Seatoun.

Mrs. John Rolleston, Te Kuiti, is the guest of Mrs; Herrick, Tautane, Herbertville.

Miss Margaret White, Talavera Terrace, is staying with Mrs. Wardell, Mastertou, for the tennis tournaments. Mrs. Carlyon, Canberra, arrived in Wellington this week and has gone to visit relatives in Hawke’s Bay. Mrs. Rainey, Lower Hutt, and Miss Agatha Bunny left on Tuesday for Napier. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Rolleston, Te Kuiti, are the guests of, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Rolleston, Le Cren’s Terrace, Timaru.

Miss Maisie Robertson, Lower Hutt, has returned after spending a holiday witli her aunt, Mrs. John Kydd, in Auckland.

Mr and Mrs. A. L. Hempton, Miss Moya Hempton, and Mr. A. K. Hempton, Wellington, are visiting Christchurch.

Mrs. P. G. Easson has returned to Auckland after a visit to Wellington, where she was the guest of Mrs. jL. T. Pegler, Karori. .Sir Francis and Lady Boys, Christchurch, will be the guests of Miss Tripp,.Orari Gorge, for the marriage of their son and Miss Peggy Williams, of Geraldine.

Mrs. H.' Moss, Hobson Street, and Mrs. Keith Steward, Colombo, left on Tuesday for the Chateau Tongariro. Mrs. Oren Beetham, who was with Mrs. C. R. Bidwill, Pipitea Street, for the races, returned on Tuesday to Morland,, Masterton; Mrs. Ralph Beetham, Masterton; Mrs. H. Cooley and Mrs. H. Wood, Sydney; Mrs. H. Howard, Blenheim; Mrs. C. D. Kennedy, Napier; Mrs. John Rennie, Christchurch; and Miss Russell Grace, Wanganui, are at the Midland Hotel. Miss Mary Weld, Marlborough, and Miss Kit Ormond, Hawke’s Bay, who will be bridesmaid at the Williams-Boys wedding on Saturday, will arrive in Timaru to-morrow, and will be the guests of Mrs. F. J. Rolleston, Le Cren’s Terrace.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Coleridge, Bisbopscourt, have been informed by letter that their 'son; Mr. Tom Coleridge, grandson of Bishop and Mrs. Sprott, has received a two-year engagementjvith Austin Motors, England. Mr. Tom Coleridge has been abroad for the last year finishing his course in engineering. Mr. F. Judd and the Misses S. and J. Judd, of Stonestead, Greytown, returned home on Tuesday evening after a motor tour as far as Napier, through to Palmerston North, and down the West Coast to Wellington, where they remained for a few days. Miss Judd is staying in Wellington with her aunt, Mrs. F. W. Wood, at Island Bay. Mrs. Joseph Salmon, of London, will arrive on a visit to New Zealand in March. Mrs. Salmon (whose husband was a member of the well-known firm of Salmon and Gluckstein, whose chain of tobacco stores in the metropolis was known to every visitor) was formerly Miss Rae Mandel, daughter of the lot# Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mandel, of Wellington. Her brothers are Dr. Leo Mandel, of London, and Mr. Edward Mandel, of Wellington, and her sisters are Mrs. Hyams, of London, and Mrs. Leo Rothschild, of Wellington. Mrs. Salmon has not visited Wellington for some twenty odd years.
