Gathering at Porirua WELLINGTON COMPETITORS In spite of many counter-attractions on Anniversary Day, the Porirua Amateur Athletic Club ran a most successful sports meeting in the Meuta.l Hospital grounds. A large contingent of Wellington athletes, including W. Ogg. of the Olympic club, took part in the events, and their work was watched with interest by the crowd who.attended. The president of the Wellington Amateur Athletic Centre, Sir. A. C. Kitto, with other centre members, including Messrs. G. O’Leary, V. Clifford, and G. 11. Harrison, lent assistance, to the local officials, and the meeting on the whole was put through in a business-like way, coming to an end at the scheduled time. The Wellington Centre’s ren’owned starter, Sir. T. YV.
