Freezing Prices
Sir, —How much longer will our farmers endure the machinations of our Meat Board? . . „ , , For lambs there is one price in Hawke s Bay and another on the IVest Coast, with the same firms operating. Then again, in one day last week I was quoted three different prices for fat wethers, with over a shilling between; in fact, the buyer with the'lowest price showed me a letter from his company stating that his low price must in no case be exceeded. Let the Meat Board be honest with those that pay the fees and publish the correct price weekly as was done previously and so do its duty by the growers. —I am, etc., ’ NO HUMBUG.
