The editor of the Teheran newspaper “Kooshesh” has been arrested because he telegraphed to the Shah thanking him for dismissing A. H. K. Teymourtash, a Minister. The-journalist was ordered to sweep the steps of the police station as a penance.
Admiral Sir Frederick Field is to retire from the post of First Sea Lord, and is to be promoted to Admiral of the Fleet. Sir Frederick became First Sea Lord of the Admiralty and Chief of the Naval Staff in 1930. He is now 62 years old.
