London Busmen on Strike HALF SERVICE PARALYSED (Received Jan. 22, 6.30 p.m.). London, Jan. 22. An unofficial strike of London busmen against a new speeding-up order which commenced in an East End garage on Tuesday has now spread and is paralysing half the services, involvIng- 10,000 men and 1891 buses. Communist agitators are prominent in fomenting trouble and are distributing red literature at all garages. Officials of the Transport Workers’ Union are vainly endeavouring to persuade the men to return to work.
