Air. and Airs. Donald Grant, Fairlie, are visitors to Wellington.
Miss Pat Clayton left at the weekend for a brief visit to Napier. Mrs. Wilfred Stead, Napier, is the guest of Sir John Roberts, Dunedin.
Air. and Airs. Denys Douglas, Te Mahanga, are in Wellington for the races. Airs. D. Alaider left Dunedin last week by car, en route to Wellington. Aliss Kathleen Gunn, Karori, will return home to-morrow after a holiday at Queenstown and Wyndham. Aliss Alatia Rogers, Nelson, left Wellington by the Rangitata on an extended visit to England. Mrs. J. Smith and Airs. Pearse, Dunedin, who were in Wellington, left on Friday for Sydney. Air. and Airs. Alacartby-Reid hare been spending a few days at the Hotel Terminus, Picton.
Air. and Airs. A. J. Woods, Dunedin, and their son and daughter, have arrived at Upper Hutt, where they will in future reside.
Dame Sybil Thorndike visited St. George’s Hospital in Christchurch last \reek, and went through each ward. She was entertained at afternoon tea, and expressed herself as delighted with the institution.
