Answer to Correspondent
N.L.D.S. —The first non-stop transAtlantic flight was made by Sir John Alcoek and Sir Arthur Whitten-Brown (Great Britain). Newfoundland-Ireland, in 1919. The United States flying boat NC4. under Commander A. C. Reed, flew from Newfoundland to England, via. the Azores, in stages, just previously. Neither of the Wright brothers attempted an Atlantic flight.
