RIFLE-SHOOTING

Petone Club’s Results The Petone Rifle Club lired two competition shoots on Saturday, the Longlicld aggregate, 7 shots at 300, 500 aud (W0 yards, and the championship, 10 shots at 500 and 600 yards. A rear wind and changing light made conditions a little difficult at times. In the Longileld shoot, four members, R. H. Nicol!, E. A. Ballinger, T. .1. Chapman, and T. Warburton, reached tho standard of M off the rifle, while in the championship shoot, R. H. Nichol! was the only competitor to reach tho standard of 92 off the gun. W. H. Ballinger scored the only possible of tho day, 7 shots at 300 yards. The following are the results:— Longfteld Aggregate.
