Wheat Control Board
Sir, —No doubt Cabinet’s new Order- , in-Coundl in regard to wheat will cause a very warm discussion, in the House soon after it reassembles, and the Coalition may, quite conceivably, find itself in a tight corner, Mr. H. E. Holland will no doubt give notice of what will be, in effect, a motion of censure. If that motion is short and is confined solely to the wheat matter, few Coalition members outside Canterbury and, perhaps, 'Northern Otago, will dare to vote against it, for if they do, they will assuredly lose their seats at the next elections. The Government will, therefore, have either to cancel the new order or fane a general election that they would probably lose. If, on the other hand, Mr. Holland, in the notice of motion, drags in any. reference, however slight, to his revolutionary Socialism, or anti-capitalism, or Samoa, or mobilisation of national credit or simi- , lar twaddle, then . Coalitionists can safely v vote against him.—l am, etc- ' ’ SPECTATOR. Wellington, January 17,
