AUSTRALIAN ATHLETES
Offer from Auckland By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Jan. IS. _ The Auckland Amateur Athletic Centre has decided to invite a team of four athletes and a cyclist from Australia to visit'Auckland. Subject to the approval of the Wellington and Wanganui centres the following itinerary has been arranged:—Wellington, February 25; Wanganui. March 1. Auckland, March 4. The suggested team is : Gray, Olympic cycling champion, Goulding. Olympic quarter hurdles finalist. Hampson, Australian sprint champion, Sheaves. New South -Wales Distance runner, anil Metcalfe, jumper.
Mr. and Mrs. Goldstune, Auckland, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. Powdrell, St. John’s Hill, ’Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. J. Powdrell. Wanganui, are on a motoring trip on the East Const. Miss I. Wornham, who has been visiting her aunt, Mrs. C. McKinnon, Wanganui. has returned to Sydney.
