Anderson, sheepfarmer, of Calivie, and Mr. E. G. Ham, secretary of the Bendigo Agricultural and Pastoral Society, is acting as secretary of the tour. “It will be a very quick trip,” said Mr. Ham. “We just thought we would like to come over here and we are not looking for any one to entertain us. We have a full itinerary worked out.” Mr. Anderson said the prospects for the Australian sheepfarmers were much brighter than they were a few years ago. Their present problem was high values. If land values were reduced to their proper level money could be jnade from sheep and lambs at present prices.

While at sea on Monday evening the party received a radiogram from the Prime Minister, welcoming them to New Zealand on behalf of the Government, and hoping that the opportunities they would have for personally meeting New Zealand producers would prove of advantage to both. A message of welcome to the women of the party was received also from the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. The visitors spent the afternoon sightseeing.. They will leave for Hamilton to-morrow.
