TO-DAY’S WEATHER FORECAST.
Meteorological Office. Wellington, Tuesday, January 17, 1933. 4 P-“-The recent northern cyclone has at last passed away, and a rather Intense westerly depression has advanced on to the Dominion. An anti-cyclone covers eastern Australia with its centre to-day over Tasmania. Moderate to strong northerly to westerly winds, backing to squally southerlies by to-morrow. Seas rather rough to rough generally in New Zealand waters. Fresh to strong south-west winds and rough seas in the eastern Tasman Sea, but wind and sea gradually decreasing. m Weather cloudy and unsettled with rain in most district's. Temperatures becoming cooler to-morrow, but conditions improving fairly rapidly after the southerly change.
