Burglars at New Plymouth HURRIED POLICE VISIT By Telegraph—Press Association. New Plymouth, Jan. 17. A hurried visit by the police to a store owned by N. Sampson, Sentry Hill, at 1.30 o’clock this morning, resulted in two men, with a motor-car, being caught almost red handed in the burglary of the store. It is understood that a search of the men’s homes in New Plymouth brought to light a considerable quantity of groceries, tobacco, clothing, etc., missed from other places. Later, two men appeared before Justices of the Peace, and were charged with being on premises with a felonious intent. On the application of the police they were remanded to January 25. Bail was refused.
