DAMAGES AWARDED
Concert Tour Manager (Received Dec. 15, 0.40 a.m.). Sydney, Dee. 14. In the Supreme Court to-day Donald Dhu O’Connor, of Auckland, New Zealand, sued John Brownlee, operatic singer, to recover £514/12/- damages for alleged breach of contract. Plaintiff claimed that this amount covered his engagement as defendent’s manager for a concert tour of Australia and New Zealand and money outstanding. Defendant denied the contract, and also the breach, and alleged failure by plaintiff to state proper accounts. The jury found for plaintiff and awarded him £174/12/- damages.
