TOWNS’ PREPARATIONS Dominion Special Service. Pahiatua, Dec. 14. Referring to the visit of their . Excellencies, Lord and the Lady Bledisloe, to Pahiatua on Friday, January 27, the Mayor, Mr. J. D. Wilson, stated at the monthly meeting of the Pahiatua Borough Council that their Excellencies would reach Pahiatua from Eketahuna at noon ami were prepared to meet as many citizens as possible from noon to 1 p.m. The Mayor suggested that an official reception be accorded Lord Bledisloe at the Borough Council Chambers when local body officials could be introduced. A public welcome and the Governor’s reply could be taken in the Memorial Square if fine, or in the Drill Hall or theatre if wet. A committee comprising the Mayor, Councillors A. D. Donald, S. Siddells and the town clerk, Mr. D. Lovelock, was formed to make final arrangements as to the form of the reception.
