WEDDING

Major—Cameron A wedding of widespread interest took place at Knox Church, Musterton, last evening, when Muriel Constauee, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Cameron, “Fiat-Point,” Walrarapa, was married to Henry McMillan Alves, older son of the Rev. Dr. Major, F.S.A., principal of Ripon Hall, Oxford, and Airs. Major, of Merton Vicarage, Oxford, England. The Rev. John Davie was the officiating clergyman. The church had been beautifully decorated by friends of the bride with pink and mauve flowers. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a model gown of gold and white lame, with mediaeval-sluiped bodice and sleeves, and a pear-tinted veil and coronet. The skirt, which was moulded to the hips, fell in graceful folds, the back finishing in a long train. She wore n diamond and sapphire pendant and ring, a present from the bridegroom’s mother, and carried a beautiful sheath of golden-ghaded liliums. She was attended by her sister-in-law, Airs. F. C. Cameron, as matron of honour, and by five bridesmaids—Miss Molly Sellar, Miss Una James, Miss Leslie Payton, AJiss Jean Buckleton (Wellington), and Miss Molly .Macassey (Wellington). The bride’s attendants were dressed alike in close-fitting frocks with very full skirts and cross-over capes. They also wore bandeaux of green velvet appliqued leaves, and carried sheaths of varying shades of arum lilies, backed by deep apricot tulle, and tied with eau-de-pil ribbons. They carried petit-point evening bags, the gifts of the bridegroom. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. T. Brown as best man, also by Dr. Maun sell (Wellington), Mr. E. Reeves (Wellington), Mr. W. Martin (Martinborough), Mr. S. Wilson and Mr. A. Wardell.
