Mrs. C. ®. Preston, Wellington, is on a visit to Auckland. Mrs. A. M. Watorson, -Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. C. H. Blundell, New Plymouth, is visiting Christchurch. Mrs. H. Hall, Hill Street, left Wellington yesterday for Marlborough to visit her son.

Mrs. C. Pearce, Hobson Street, has returned from a visit to Rotorua and Auckland.

Miss Eleanor Page, “Sunninghill,” Karori, will leave on Christmas day for a visit to Pliinmerton. where she will be the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Eearn. Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Taylor, Glen Road, and Miss Betty Taylor will leave at the end of next week for a holiday visit to Pahtatua. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Fearn, Northland, and their two children will leave on Christmas Day for a visit .to Pliinmerton.

Mrs. I. F. Spring, Christchurch, who has been in Wellington for the past week, will leave on Saturday for Shannon.

The following were among the guests at the Wanaka Hotel, Pembroke, last week: —Mr. and Mrs. L. E. White, Palmerston North; Mrs. M. A. Frances and child,.Wellington. Miss Olive Barron, who has been spending some weeks in the south, is expected back in Wellington tomorrow.

Mr. and Mrs. Caradus, Hataitai, who went to Auckland to be present at the golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas, the parents of Mrs. Caradus, are expected home at the end of this week.

Miss Molly Macassey, Eastbourne, left yesterday for Masterton to be a bridesmaid at the Major—Cameron wedding. Mrs. P. S. K. Macassey accompanied her daughter. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Reid, Dunedin, spent a month in Tauranga with Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Reid, and were with Mrs. F. M. Reid at Kelburn before leaving for the south on Tuesday night. Mr. and Mrs. John Andrew, Awanui, Masterton, who were the guests of Mrs. H. B. Dyer, Ledham Flats, motored home on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Dawson, Invercargill, arrived yesterday and are at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. Ayers, West Coast, and her daughter, Mrs. McCarthy, Sydney, are also there.

Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Weir, who arrived from Penang on Wednesday to spend a few months in New Zealand, will leave the Grand Hotel to-day for Eltham, to stay with Mr. J. Lindsay Weir. Mrs. Johns, who came back from Sydney on Tuesday, was at the Empire Hotel and returned yesterday to New Plymouth. Visitors at Caulfield House include Mrs. Hotterbam, Rarotonga; Miss Whitmore-Searle, Miss Jean Buckley, Sydney; Mrs. and Miss Summers, Mrs. Hunt, Auckland; Mrs. Green, Nelson, and Miss Allan, Hastings. Mrs. C. E. Johnston, Tinakori Road, returned on Tuesday from a visit to Mrs. Arthur Martin, Martinborough. Mrs. Ralph Beetham, Brancepeth, left yesterday for Featherston, after a few days in Wellington.

Miss Edna Reid, Dunedin, is the guest of Mhs. F. M. Reid, Kelburn. Mrs. H. Innes-Jones, who has been visiting relatives in Wellington and Masterton, left for Timaru on Tuesday night. ”
