ADVOCATE OF PEACE
Tour by Rev* Dr. Gibb MISSION IN THE SOUTH Advocating wbrld peace, the Rtv. Dr. Gibb has made an extensive tour of the South Island in the interests of the League of Nations. He endeavoured to stir .private and public interest in the problems of international disarmament, and a ratio of redueof war establishment among all civilised nations. He visited Christchurch. Timavn. Oamaru, Dunedin, Roxburgh, and Invercargill. and met the executive of the League of Nations Union in each centre to discuss local activities and stimulate further efforts in the cause of world peace. Dr. Gibb addressed public meetings, club luncheons, and also preached in various churches. Tn addition to this comprehensive programme and the travelling involved, he found time to efinvass individuals. Dr. Gibb returned to Dunedin from Invercargill in order to preach on Sunday in the North-East Valley Presbyterian Churcb oh the occasion of the jubilee of that church.
